Haberkorn Online Shop 1.0

10/2004

In October 2004 Luxbox.net created the first version of the Haberkorn Online Shop. It was a smaller version of the Ulmer Online Shop 2.0 with some adjustments and some new features.

Online catalogues and demand forecasts where deactivated. New was the possibility to attach pictures or other file attachments like PDF documents for each item in the shop. These attachments where displayed in the item detail page.

Further the interfaces to the ERP-System had to be rewritten because the Haberkorn GmbH used other software than the Ulmer GmbH. While the Ulmer GmbH used a mix of diverse custom solutions that was put together by the Norbert Gruber GmbH the Haberkorn GmbH acquired a costly system from BRAIN AG (meanwhile Agilisys) some years before.

Therefore Luxbox.net created the BrainIntegration framework - a set of .NET classes that supported the communication with the BRAIN ERP system via its XML-interface. With the help of this package it was easy to realize displaying the custom specific price and the current availability of the item in the shop. The BrainIntegration framework was further used in the BizTalk Server AIC to hand the ordering data over to the ERP system.
