In February 2003 Luxbox.net realized the first version of Haberkorn Ulmer touch4order - a Windows Application that downloads order  data from one of two barcode scanner models to a PC. There the data could be saved, displayed, edited and finally sent to Haberkorn Ulmer via internet.

 

Two years earlier the company offered a barcode scanner from Symbol that sent order data via an integrated cell phone. But of course the devices where costly and every device needed its own internet account.

 

touch4order uses the internet connection of the PC therefore the account for the device was not needed anymore as well as the integrated cell phone. Two barcode scanner models where offered with touch4order - one at the size of a key fob and a bigger model with its own display. Both where much cheaper than the first model with the integrated cell phone.
